JoJolie.com is a new site… similar to eBay? You bid on designer purses with “bids”. Each “bid” is worth $0.01 in real life, although they cost anywhere from $0.50 to $0.90 each when you purchase them. They can be purchased through amazon.com. Weird, right? You can learn more about them here.
Anyhow – I learned about JoJolie.come from one of the many, many blogs that I read and signed up. With my early sign up I was given 5 bids for free. I think you will be too.
They had their first “auction” November 11th where a MARC by Marc Jacobs bag went for $2.10. WTF? That’s less than a starbucks coffee.
If you sign up (and “buy” something), I get 10 free bids. Use this link:

Here are some upcoming auctions:
I’m currently bidding on that kate spade bag at the top of the post. As I type this – there are 4 minutes left. But this is another weird thing… each time someone bids on the item: 10 seconds are added to the auction. I don’t really know what to think about this. It’s confusing me more than anything. In the time it took me to type this: the auction went back up to 6 minutes. Wish me luck!
edit:
bahahahaha. Is it April 1st? Am I being fooled? It took me far to long to do the math for this in my head. WOW. So, this is how I understand it. Let me make an example.
My name is Kate Shopper. I’m going to bid on a lovely Kate Spade handbag. You know – I really like this bag and would love to own it. So the bidding starts at $1.00. I’m going to play it cool and wait for an hour before I even look at it. You can’t bid too early, the time with jump up by 10 seconds.
Fast forward to RIGHT NOW.
The action started at 7:00pm CT. That’s 8:00pm MY TIME. It’s currently 12:20am. 4 hours and 20 minutes later. Wow. The price is currently $5.95 with 1 minute and 23 seconds remaining. Let’s do some math.
Each bid = $0.01 of the final price.
Each bid = $0.50 to $0.90. Let’s assume people are smart and spent the minimum price/bid of $0.50.
of the $5.95 minus the $1.00 starting bid = $4.95 (equal to 495 bids).
THAT’S $247.50 !!!!!!!!!!!
People are paying $0.50 (minimum) for a CHANCE to WIN (???) a BAG. I AM IN COMPLETE SHOCK.
I want to high five the person who thought of this idea. HIGH FIVE.
(FYI: the price is now up to $6.47 lol)

I’m totally confused on how one actually manages to WIN… is it just dumb luck?
I think so. I spent far too long “trying”, but everytime the auction got down to 2 minutes! it was… weird.
clever, clever. I didn’t realize that we were “paying” to have a chance to win something! I’m glad I didn’t sign up now :)
If you plan and strategize it properly, you can win without spending a lot of money. I won a Michael Kors bag that retails for $895.00 for $2.82 because I waited late in the bidding process and didn’t get into the game until the price hit $2.00 so I used only 46 of my bids purchase at 75 cents each. If you do the math and add in the shipping costs I got a 895.00 bag for $52.31. That was worth the effort to me! The real challenge is to know how much you want to spend and how far you may be willing to go and still lose. On the Coach, Gucci, Prada and Louis Vitton bags there can be some long term heavy bidding that goes as high as $80 or $90. for on-screen prices plus shipping which is a standard $14.99 via UPS. JoJolie makes a ton of money on those heavy bids because they have sold nearly 8,000 bids for all of us to compete in the Prada bids.
Nice hustle they have worked out for themselves. The only question I see popping up everywhere is are these bags authentic which I cannot answer. All I can say is if mine is a fake, it’s a damned good one!
Thanks for the comment! I’m happy to see that someone has had some luck! for the longest time I figured I was just competing with a computer.
