What an exciting time to be in the Port City!

This week is jam packed with events worth checking out:

Tuesday evening is the 2nd meeting of the new Fashion Council in Saint John. It will be the last open meeting before the executive is finalized.

Normand Hector had this bright idea over the summer and didn’t waste time putting pen to paper and making it happen. He put out an open call on Facebook for the first meeting last month – the turnout was phenomenal and the response was excellent! Thursday morning you have the chance to hear Mr. Donald Trump, Mr. Rudy Giuliani and Mr. Danny Williams speak at Harbour Station during SPARK, put on by the Momentum Group.

Crash. Learn. Conquer. This is an important event and message for the City of Saint John. I really feel that if you have a few spare dollars in your budget and haven’t already purchased a ticket, you should. These three men can offer a lot of advice in crashing and overcoming obstacles to become that leaders that they are today.

The entrepreneurial spirit along with the drive, motivation and passion these men have is inspirational. I wish I could attend.

Thursday evening Uptown Saint John is hosting a Fashion Hop. Retailers like Je Suis Prest Boutique, Silver Daisy Designs, Hairacy’s and Manchester Shoe Salon will be entertaining the shoppers with in store events, demonstrations, deals, drinks and desserts.

Be sure to visit a participating retailer for the official map. Attached to the bottom of the map is a drink coupon for the Canterbury Lounge later that night.

I can’t wait for this event.

Save some energy and some money. Friday afternoon/evening NBFW is in full swing at the Trade and Convention Centre. This is the first time that local designers will take centre stage in Saint John to showcase their collections. This is (hopefully) the first of many Fashion Weeks in the province. These events will be taking place twice annually in the Spring and Fall going forward.
