In an effort to try out every “deluxe sample box” available in Canada, I was ecstatic when Glossy Box offered to send me one of their boxes to review.
Glossy Box has been around for quite some time, but has just recently offered their service in Canada.
Here’s a look at what was in my February box:
!!!!! SPOILER !!!!!
The contents were surprising…. a full size Essie nail polish (exciting!) and quite a few deluxe samples.
Here’s a detailed look at the contents:
Prevage // Night Anti-Aging Restorative Cream
Oscar de la Renta // Live in Love Hand Cream
Essie // “Neo Whimsical” Nail Polish
Ahava Skincare // Mineral Hand Cream
Beauty So Clean // Sanitizing Wipes & Mist
Elizabeth Grant // Skin Care Moisturizing Stick
I’ve now received five different “sample” boxes. I thought I’d have a hard time picking my favourite, but there have been a few that have really impressed me. I originally signed up for services like this to get access to products and brands not available in “my neck of the woods”. Glossy Box has really provided a great cross section of products and brands. I’m impressed.
Did I get $15 worth? Yes, and more! The Essie polish is worth about $8. The Elizabeth Grant moisturizing stick retails for $12.
Stay tuned this week (or maybe next) for a critical review of the 5 boxes I’ve tried out complete with my final recommendation!
Full disclosure: I was sent this Glossy Box to review. Other than receiving the Glossy Box free of charge for one month, I was not compensated.
